This tour is perfectly suited for anyone looking to relax for an hour, while silently floating past old docks and futuristic buildings in the old port.

While this tour offers no guide and does not access the official port area, it is the most budget friendly port-related activity. Perfect for anyone looking for a relaxing and silent activity, thanks to the electric engine of this stylish boat.

Itinerary: what to expect

The boat called 'Como', is waiting for you in the first dock ever build for our port, named after it's commissioner: the Bonaparte Dock.

Bad weather? No problem. This boat is covered and heated when necessary. When it's sunny, the windows are rolled down.

In the north of the town, next to the well known museum

1: Rendez-vous at the MAS

Your guide will provide you with comfortable Superlux headphones with a radio receiver, so you can hear them clearly over the noise of roaring boat engines and open-water winds. They are lightweight, fit all head sizes, and have their own volume control.

Even though this audio kit is one-way only, you are free to ask your guide any questions during the tour: we welcome all interaction!

A silent whisper of the engine pushes you away from the quay

2: Is this thing on?

A bit further we have to pass under a bridge, but the boat is too high! Luckily you're sailing an advanced piece of technology that has a shifting roof. All windows roll down about 50 cm, taking the roof with them, so the boat ducks while going under the bridge.

This boat's roof can shift down!

3: Duck for a bridge

The internationally famous architect Zaha Hadid designed a diamond of a building to house the port authority's offices, right at the border between the port and the town. The best way to see it, is to see the water and port reflect in it's windows: you have front row seats to this architectural spectacle.

The shape of a ship, the surface of a diamond

4: Zaha Hadid's masterpiece: the port authority's offices

Back in WOII, any available iron was used to fuel the war and so people got creative and build a ship out of concrete. It's massive and massively heavy: not really sailable. Today it has a fixed location and houses a church for sailors.

One of the only concrete ships in the world, with reason

5: A concrete ship

We sail through old docks that have have been long abandoned by the port as they became too small for modern ships. For decades this was a part of town to avoid, with many abandoned warehouses providing shelter for criminal activities. Today that has changed drastically: the city has reclaimed this area with success. In 2025 a new hospital opened it's doors to support this new part of town.

From center of the port to new city district

6: A forgotten district, re-emerging

In the distance the port of Antwerp roars, but we keep it calm and easy and return to the city centre before we have to speed race massive container vessels. No thank you sir, this is a relaxing tour. You'll disembark all zen and one with the flow of the water.

After a brief visit to the outskirts out town, we head back to the touristic centre

7: Back to the lively city
